Sr. Nuclear Processing Engineer (remote)

Contract Rate: $60.00 - $70.00per hr
Job Description:
Our client is looking for a strong Process Engineer to work with liquid waste processing, decontamination and decommissioning of waste treatment and disposal of nuclear waste. This person can come from the from chemical, pharma or nuclear fields as long as they are an expert at developing process flow sheets for wet chemical process and employing computational models for process optimization. This position can be for a long-term contractor or someone that would like to join a great organization for the rest of their career!
Required Skills:
- 5+ years experience working in a Process Engineering capacity in the nuclear waste space.
- Ability to work on several smaller projects concurrently with limited scope or direction
- Expert in developing process flow sheets for wet nuclear chemical process
- Experience employing computational models for process optimization
- Ability to assess concepts to quantify risk, hazard and efficacy
- Experience developing Client concepts and flow sheets for chemical processes
- Experienced working remotely and independently, highly disciplined
Bonus/Soft Skills:
- Competent in standard software and process modeling software
- Professional accreditation - preferred IChemE etc.
- Experienced with extensive international travel open to it
- Competent negotiator with good client management skills
- Bi/multi-lingual French, German, Japanese, Korean are useful but not essential
- BSc or higher in process engineering or related field
- PHD in Chemistry a BIG bonus
