Job Description

Title: Automation & Controls Dept. Lead

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Duration: Contract-to-Direct, Long-term

Pay range: $51-$65/hr DOE

Job Responsibilities: 

Manage Automation Group

Organize and distribute workload

Design, develop and commission industrial automation systems. 

Creating BOM's and I/O lists. 

Maintain and update project documentation. 

Develop HMI/Graphics for SCADA and DCS applications. 

Ensure customer satisfaction with all aspects of project execution and final solution. 

Create and maintain customer relationships. 

Travel to customer sites as required implementing projects. 

Job Requirements: 

5+ years Refining, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Mining experience related to the design and implementation of Industrial Automation Systems. 

5+ years' experience programming PLC/DCS Systems using Allen-Bradley. 

Emerson DeltaV, Client, TPS/Experion, FCS/SMC, and a plus 

Experience with motor control, low voltage power systems, field instrumentation and associated technologies in industrial environments. 

Experience developing a BOM based on I/O count. 

Experience in developing Client Specifications. 

Understanding of interlock shutdown systems. 

Working knowledge of current design codes and standards (i.e. IEC, NEC, NFPA, ANSI). 

Ability to read/interpret P&ID's, C&E, loop drawings, and other design documents. 

Knowledge of industrial control communication network topology and protocols such as Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, Profibus, and Modbus. 

A working understanding of all languages listed inIEC 61131-3. 

Proficient in troubleshooting process control systems from instrument to HMI. 

Preferred Qualifications 

BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical) 

Experience developing design drawings using AutoCAD or Visio. 

Experience with a control system integrator or EPC firm. 

Understanding of SIS, IEC61508, CFSE/CFSP, SIL Ratings, PHA, MOC.
