Job Description

Job Title: CAD Designer
Location: Sandy, UT
Duration: Contract-to-direct, long-term
Pay range: $25-$35/hr DOE

Job Responsibilities:
Create detailed layouts and detailed designs in accordance with project specifications (with respect to clearances and tolerances) required for engineering studies and/or field services.
Prepare plans and elevations of surface buildings, structural steel works, and concrete foundations for underground mine access and development infrastructure, including shafts, raise bore holes, crushing, conveying, hoisting, ventilating, water handling, concrete delivering, refrigerating, and power generating/distributing plants.
Work cooperatively with the design team lead, project engineers, and project manager to establish design criteria and drawing layouts.

Job Requirements:
Graduate of a two-year technical or college program in the relevant discipline.
Candidates must have 3+ years of 3D CAD experience do either Structural, Mechanical and/or Civil design.
Advanced Steel or other 3D parametric software experience is a plus.
3+ years of relevant mining industry experience, preferably with underground mining, infrastructure, and/or shaft design experience is preferred.
Understanding of applicable Mining and Safety Acts, Regulations, and Codes would be an asset.
