Water Resource Engineer

Ogden, UT (on-site, M-F)

Work is onsite at company offices when not at client sites or in the field.

Target Pay Range $120k+ base salary (depending on experience)

Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Civil Engineer with Water Resource experience. Someone who is experienced in designing, implementing, and managing multiple water resource projects with their clients. They are a locally owned and operated land-use Civil Engineering company in the northern part of Utah, and most of their client projects are within the local area. If you want to manage your own projects, customer relationships, and a more autonomous work environment then this is your job!!

This person will have experience working with current water engineering advancements and industry trends. They will also be able to mentor junior engineers who may get assigned to their projects and track project progress by performing site visits and work inspections. This person will be skilled in analyzing technical documents, maps, schematics, and blueprints to ensure compliance to project timetables and plans. They will handle the reviewing of subdivision and site plans as well as the expansion of the water distribution system. They use Primavera for their project scheduling, if you don't already have experience with this then you will get an opportunity to learn it.

Required skills:

• 5+ years of experience in Civil Engineering with water resource engineering experience.
• Principal Engineering (PE) License
• Water tank/well design a must
• Must know how to budget and plan for water resource projects
• Great water district client/contractor relationship skills
• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or similar

• Must be someone who takes initiative and likes to own their work-schedule
• Is great at working autonomously or with a team
• Is good with mentoring others on a team (engineers, designers/drafters, field crews)
• Great communication skills in verbal and written communication
