Data Scientist- Business Intelligence Specialist

6 month contract (possibility to extend to 1 year)

Riverton, Utah (Hybrid)

The mission of this position is to help Church members fulfill their divinely appointed responsibility to Client their families through family history methods, submit their names to the temple for saving ordinances, and help bring souls unto CHRIST.

Responsibilities

• We're seeking a skilled Data Scientist with expertise in business intelligence tools and app development. The ideal candidate will:
• Analyze complex datasets using statistical methods and machine learning algorithms
• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation
• Create custom Power Apps to streamline business processes and data collection
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions
• Implement data governance practices and ensure data quality
• Present insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences

Qualifications

Education:

• Requires a bachelor's degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field

Work Experience:

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in data analysis and visualization
• Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Power Apps development
• Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, R)
• Data Analysis Expressions (DAX)
• Excel
• Role requires 2 days in the office until August 5 and then 3 days in the office downtown SLC.

Worthiness Qualification:

Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
