Salary range: $80-120KYR DOE
Job Responsibilities:
Apply electrical concepts and principles, demonstrating knowledge of the factors that affect each specific situation to accurately calculate power loads for buildings, using company standard software. Check loads and ensure accuracy and adequacy.
Design power distribution systems, including the main service, panelboard feeder distribution, and branch circuits.
Design lighting systems, including selection of fixtures, preparing illumination calculations, and zoning, dimming, daylighting and occupancy-based lighting controls.
Demonstrate proficiency in fault current and voltage drop calculations, and design and document systems in compliance with appropriate standards.
Develop designs in compliance with the Energy Code, and complete Comcheck documentation.
Size equipment based on loads and in accordance with industry and company standards.
Estimate energy consumption of different systems, using spreadsheets and other simplified methods.
Design fire alarm systems in compliance with prevailing code and Company design standards.
Design telecommunications systems, including conduit and tray sizing and routing, and detailing connections.
Design other low voltage systems, including audio/visual, security access, and security CCTV systems.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
3-5+ years of related work experience
EIT FE is required.
Professional Engineer licensure in Utah is preferred but not required.
Revit experience is a plus
Fundamentals of Lighting Design-IESNA ED100 series, Code Training including National Electrical Code Chapters 1-4
Microsoft Office, and other industry-related software.
