Client represents a restaurant, lounge and nightlife experience that is sophisticated, exclusive and fun.  The NYC club is a bold reinvigoration of the timeless and iconic brand within a multi-concept venue that invites, seduces and celebrates a new generation's after work lifestyle of luxury and leisure.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Procures and manages event management functions and staff on a daily basis. Position has overall responsibility for executing all property events while consistently delivering a high level of service. Ensures team maximizes revenue opportunities by up-selling and accurately forecasting all events.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES:

  • Increases restaurant's effectiveness by orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining managers; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives.
  • The General Manager ensures that every guest has an amazing experience, that entire staff is a motivated and cohesive team, and that the restaurant meets or exceeds its financial targets. 
  • The manager is responsible for ensuring the staff are well trained and consistently supported, and leading them through service, and increasing profitability.
  • Ensure key HR and admin functions are consistently carried out, including payroll and scheduling.
  • Accomplishes objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Trains staff to give proper service to guests to upsell, and to train staff on how to help create a great guest experience.


  • Lead and motivate high-functioning team that is cohesive and wants to create exceptional guest experiences daily.
  • Optimize restaurant sales and profitability.
  • Work effectively across departments.
  • Ensure bar and restaurant is clean, functioning, maintained up to DOH standards and prepared for daily service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Effective communication skills, coaching mentality, calm and effective disposition when under pressure, resourceful approach to problems.
  • Extensive beverage knowledge and passion.
  • Prior experience as a General Manager in a high-volume lounge, bar or restaurant.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and plan ahead.
  • A demonstrated passion for building extraordinary teams.
  • Understanding of food safety standards and protocol.
  • Understanding of financial implications of operational decisions.
  • Passion and understanding of great customer service.
