Job Description

Our client is looking for a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our team and play a key role in migrating our critical systems from on-premise infrastructure (MTS/Wire) to the cloud using AWS.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of the cloud migration strategy for our MTS/Wire systems to AWS.
• Deep dive into existing MTS/Wire systems to understand functionality, dependencies, and potential challenges during migration.
• Develop and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS that replicate and enhance the functionality of existing MTS/Wire systems.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to automate deployment pipelines and ensure smooth code deployments to AWS.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code adhering to best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the migration process.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in cloud computing and AWS services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Proven experience in migrating legacy systems (ideally MTS/Wire) to the cloud, preferably AWS.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda).
• Expertise in at least one high-level programming language (e.g., Java, Python).
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
