Job Description

Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) Engineer
Irvine, CA
6+ month contract to hire
Up to $57.85 an hour
Successful candidate will play an important role on the vehicle integration team to develop an NVH in components, sub-system and system, and overall vehicle. Have the analytical capabilities and translate NVH data to a meaningful reports to a technical and non-technical audience. Experience in bench testing includes working knowledge in chassis dynamometers. Be able to conduct bench testing and recommend NVH testing profile for powertrain and driveline components. Strong understanding on NVH fundamentals & implementation in full powertrain, driveline and vehicle system. Develop compatible vehicle architecture that meets specific NVH performance metrics. Will analyze and evaluate vehicle level technical specifications for NVH and buzz, squeak and rattle (BSR) and support the target trade off process.
Requirements

  • BS Mechanical Engineering
  • 10 years' experience in vehicle development (NVH, Impact, Dynamics and/or Body or Chassis design)
  • Prior experience with evaluation of automobiles
  • Experience with virtual simulation tools for the above disciplines
  • Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2015), as applicable.
