Principal Facility Operations Engineer
Multi-year contract role

Contract Rate: DOE
Leads, plans, evaluates, directs, controls, analyzes and coordinates complex, cross-functional projects and programs.
Develops and executes complex technical tasks.
Interfaces with Government and contractor personnel in effort to effectively manage budgets, projects or operations.
Communicates project performance through detailed reports.
Makes recommendations to correct deficiencies that adversely affect mission accomplishment.
Ensures that facility's support contract functions effectively and efficiently by establishing schedules, monitoring progress, and taking corrective action where needed.
Supervises and assigns work to senior managers and support personnel based on project schedules, priorities, level of difficulty, and unit capability in order to ensure work is performed and completed within established deadlines.
Develops project proposals, schedules and budgets
Ensures that assigned facilities comply with government's environmental, health, and security standards and regulations
Oversees facility operations and maintenance
Continuously manages facility improvement projects in order to enhance efficiency and eliminate waste
Develops, mentors, leads and encourages team members to accomplish annual and periodic goals and initiatives
Ability to apply problem solving methodologies and principles
Task leader experience
Understanding of practices and principles associated with asset and facility management
Experience in planning facility development projects
Must be registered/certified or equivalent as appropriate for profession.
Education:
BS degree in STEM-related field + 15 years of experience
OR
MS degree + 12 years of experience
OR
PHD + 9 years of experience
