Job Description

Job Title: Project Architect
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Duration: Contract-to-direct, long-term
Pay range: $35-$48/hr DOE

Job Responsibilities:
Review and redline drawings and models, As-built documentation and verification
- all disciplines.
Supervision of Construction Document preparation.
Generate and modify Details for production staff incorporation.
Generate Master Spec format Specifications, editing and compilation Prescriptive, Performance or Proprietary types of specifications.
Create and review Data sheets.
Coordinate all Consultants.
Provide TIC Estimates.
Respond to RFP, RFQ and SOQ.
Identify potential projects, Create, Review and Edit proposals.
Project Management and Documentation.
Conduct client meetings- review.
Conduct project team meetings and coordination.
Generate Scope of Work, Assumptions and Exclusions, Fee proposals and estimates.
Code Review to include all disciplines, Energy and ADA.
Schematic Design and Concept presentation, Building Type analysis and comparison.
Materials selection- Interior and Exterior, Equipment Selection, Fixtures Furniture and equipment, Interior layout and design.
Project and client education- know what the client knows and perhaps doesn't know.
Site Development, Master Planning, Design Development.
Local ordinance and jurisdiction review, Permitting requirements and applications.
Review project submittals, Project Status Reports, Transmittals.
Change order review, directives and review of estimate of cost and schedule implications.
Project Scheduling and Budget Management.

Job Requirements:
5+ years of licensed experience in all phases of Architectural project management- from programming through design development, presentation, engineering coordination, estimation, construction documents and specifications, permitting and construction administration. Ability to manage projects from start to finish.
Current Architectural License, Ability to license in multiple states
Familiar with AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch-up, Adobe, MS Office products, Bluebeam or similar PM Project management tools, Master Spec or similar Specification software.
LEED Certification a plus but not essential
Experience with Industrial and commercial building and master planning projects.
