ScrumMaster / Technical Product Manager
Salt Lake City, UT

Target Salary: $70K - $90K

Job Description:
Work with all areas of the software technology groups within a SAAS company. This is a company that has been traditionally waterfall style delivery and over the past 18 months has been working diligently to bring Agile practices into the organization. With software development and quality assurance groups creatively working together, now the task is to work with them to create incremental deliveries of specific features to the internal business units, for their external customers. There will also be strategy working with sales, marketing, and implementation teams who interface with customers directly to get them all onboard with product delivery dates, whereas in the past these other groups may have conveyed to tech teams unrealistic delivery dates or product features. Manage backlog of sprint stories, and re-allocate as needed with each group(s).

This role will require someone who already has experience working as a primary scrum master within an organization, as it will require them to be a proponent of change within the company to adopt this new style of software delivery.

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years experience as a ScrumMaster
    • Must have experience building an agile/scrum practice within a software development company
    • Proven experience leading, managing, and creating collaborative engagements within technical groups and the business product units
    • Experience with Sprint planning, resource allocation, managing user stories to deliverables,
    • Experience with software timeline/code check tools such as Jira, TFS or similar.

  • Experience with Agile software development life cycle, and engaging business practices in a creative way
  • Some experience with Technical Product Management would be helpful, as you will be interacting with Product Managers, and internal business unites to create expectations of time delivery, functionality, and product – so they can manage expectations with customers.
