This role is part of the Real Estate Lending team within Digital Lending and Origination. We have a best-in-class real estate origination platform for the Mortgage Industry and are looking to grow the business significantly over the next 5 years. Digital Lending and Origination also has best-in-class platforms for Deposit Account opening and consumer lending as well as adding small business and commercial lending capabilities.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will help define our product strategy and go to market plans, build and manage the product roadmaps and guide our development teams, leading them in building out the core of our mortgage products. As our Senior Product Manager, you will...

Help develop and enhance implementation processes with the implementation and customer support teams.

Build relationships across DLO.

Drive the product roadmaps internally with input from external and internal relationships and sources. These include clients, prospects, sales, client support, implementation teams and other industry sources.

Be fully responsible for the products and implementation(s) of the products.

Define and drive product strategy through understanding market problems, the competitive landscape and the ability to solve market problems through products and service. Keeps up to date with competitor information and market trends; identifies business opportunities for the organization; maintains awareness of developments in the organizational structure and politics; demonstrates financial awareness; controls costs and thinks in terms of profit, loss and added value. Produces new ideas, approaches, or insights; creates innovative products or designs; produces a range of solutions to problems.

Be part of Digital Lending and Origination Group. DLO is a relatively new unit and is tasked with building best-in-class digital lending solutions for clients and other FIs. There is a huge amount of opportunity in this market space as clients have renewed focus on digitizing their products and processes.

You will have the ability to define the strategy and plans for designing and building a world-class mortgage origination platform. Help define and align the mortgage platform life of loan strategy across the mortgage products. This includes defining the individual product strategies that ladder up to the overall mortgage ecosystem we are looking to create.

  • BS/BA and/or equivalent applicable working experience required. Advanced degrees a plus.

Job Related Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree with 7+ years of experience in the Mortgage industry
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in technology/software related product management or mortgage/ financial services product management with a focus on digital lending
  • Knowledge, experience, and proficiency in product management standards and practices, with particular appreciation for the end-to-end product management discipline
  • Proven ability to be a visionary with ability to Client out and execute on supporting strategy and tactical plans
  • Well versed in the operational processes of Residential lending including processing, underwriting, closing, post close audit, QC, compliance, servicing, secondary marketing
  • Experience and understanding of Residential Loan File documentation
  • Experience with existing and emerging technologies in the lending industry is required for this position
  • Experience with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology and use within the lending domain. Machine Learning/AI technology experience a plus
  • Experience with AGILE process framework
  • Experience working with SaaS/Multi-tenant software platforms
  • Proven leadership skills and business acumen.
  • Proven ability to understand complex business and technical concepts and to be able to make balanced judgments when faced with trade-offs
  • Thorough understanding of the mortgage process, critical fintech partners and integration with those partners/systems and online/mobile channels
  • Demonstrated knowledge of online, mobile and tablet technology and real estate/ mortgage industry trends
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Solid thought leadership and ability to influence others through collaborative efforts
  • Proven ability to be able to work with other organizational units in a highly matrixed company and lead through influence
Graduate degree and/ or Accredited Mortgage Banker or CMB designation from the Mortgage Bankers Association

Digital Product operations and/or supplier/ partner experience within the Mortgage Industry
