Sr. Systems Administrator (hybrid)

Salt Lake City, UT

6month Contract to Hire

Pay Range: $60.00 - $80.00per hr / Salary Target: $120K - $150K

Job Description:

Our client is growing their infrastructure team and with that looking for a strong Sr. Systems Administrator that is an expert in Microsoft Server support as well as virtual/physical server support, application support, data management, backups, security, as well as end user support. We would also love to find someone with experience supporting AWS environments.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of Microsoft Systems Administration in Enterprise environments
  • 5+ years of experience supporting a wide variety of infrastructure computing systems, hardware, software, operation, and security packages Windows, SQL Server, Linux, Ubuntu etc.
  • Heavy Windows experience - enterprise level
  • Experience moving on premise to virtual environments, disaster recovery, and AWS cloud platform (EC2)
  • Expertise installing new hardware and servers, lifting and shifting, etc.
  • Experience with e-mail technology Exchange, e-mail gateways, filtering, and security products
  • Experience transitioning from manual configuration to Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Must have a 4 year degree in technology
Bonus/Soft Skills:
  • Experience with Okta is a plus
  • Experience transitioning legacy infrastructure environments to modern technologies
  • Highly disciplined, professional and adaptable
  • Minimal 'job hopping' background
  • Willingness to work onsite one day per week - Tuesdays
