Job Description

Title:  Technical Lead Architect
Location:  Hoboken, NJ
Duration:  6+ months

Job Summary
Operating within the IT Architecture organization, the Technical Lead role will be responsible for applying Information Technology best practices, principles, theories, and concepts for building software products and Enterprise solutions. Having the ability to develop solutions from the ground-up by leveraging suitable modern technologies, and/or current reusable artifacts, they will develop and implement systems architecture that will meet business needs.
 
Responsibilities
The Technical Lead's responsibilities include gathering requirements and functional specifications, assessing the current software systems in place in order to identify areas in need of improvement, and overseeing development teams. You should also be able to regularly update the company on any developments in architecture projects.
 
  • Implement solution design for core applications and interfaces. Ensures solution is built as per the solution architecture
  • Oversees detail technical design of solutions working collaboratively with developers and architecture team for development/implementation of solutions on particular infrastructure;
  • Responsible for non-functional requirements;
  • Works closely with Architects collaborating on technical standards and ongoing evolution of products/technology roadmaps
  • Oversees development of technical solution through SDLC
  • Organizes and mentors development teams
  • Participates in all phases of project life cycle from inception
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to understand IT implications from projects and business requirements.
  • Full working knowledge of technologies such as UNIX, Oracle, SQL Server and TCP/IP;
  • General understanding of IT projects and phases
  • Analytical and problem solving capability.
  • Ability to review and provide feedback for complex technical designs.
  • Good knowledge of quality standards, legislation and best practice
    • Ability to be adapt and prioritize
    • Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions
  • Proven experience working in outsource and offshore environment on major delivery programs.
  • Knowledge of all phases of SDLC and full lifecycle implementations.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical roles within an Applications Development environment (either in-house IT or as a consultant)
  • Core Technologies - JavaScript Frameworks - Angular, Node, Express
  • Open Source Databases: MongoDB, PostgreSQL
  • Database Technologies: SQL, MS Access, Oracle, SQL Server
  • Cloud Infrastructure: AWS, Azure
  • Minimum of five years of experience in at least two IT disciplines - technical architecture, application development (web, mobile, etc.), integration architecture
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred
 
Primary Tools and Technologies
Must have complete functional, working knowledge of the following (All of them):
  • Working knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL databases
  • Working knowledge of Azure Cloud
  • Working knowledge of Networking, Firewalls, Load Balancers, etc.
  • Experience with large scales, high availability server architectures
  • Experience in CI/CD pipeline to deploy applications, to deploy applications, preferably in the cloud
  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with operating systems
  • Knowledge and skills in dimensional modeling-highly desirable
