Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a skilled Product Engineer to join our team at our Cleveland, OH headquarters. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of projects involving custom molded parts and tooling, from initial design and engineering to project management and final approval. This position requires a strong background in plastics engineering and a keen ability to coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with customers on the design, engineering, quotation, and order procurement of new or modified custom molded parts and tooling.
  • Oversee projects from inception to completion, including customer interaction, quoting, tool build applications, molds, tooling, and final approvals.
  • Provide technical support for products to manufacturing teams and customers as needed.
  • Coordinate and manage projects to meet timelines and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks) to develop solid models for product designs.
  • Work with cost models and provide accurate pricing for new projects.

Requirements:

  • Engineering or technical degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering role within the plastics industry or plastic injection molding.
  • In-depth knowledge of injection-molded plastics properties, molds, and tooling.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to meet timelines and oversee projects from start to finish.
  • Effective interdepartmental and customer communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must have experience in the plastics industry or with plastic injection molding.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM, with potential for remote work after 6 months.
