Logistics Coordinator

12-24 month contract

This position is intended to support the church's temples, visitors' centers, historic sites, and other entities through shipping and receiving of needed audiovisual equipment and parts to support the mission of the church. This candidate will interface with inventory tracking software and Microsoft tools to fulfill shipment requests and receive equipment for these church entities. An eye for detail and careful inventory management and organization is a must. Knowledge of proper shipping documents and paperwork, as well as project coordination and interfacing with other team members and project managers, is required. Some heavy lifting may be needed daily. Assembly and production of equipment and parts may also be required at times.

Responsibilities:

• 30-50% Coordinates and executes inbound and outbound shipments using inventory and shipping software, completes shipment scheduling, and generates related paperwork. Provides visual inspection of product to be received.
• 20-30% Utilizes Microsoft Teams to communicate, coordinate, and update the status of various shipments and receipt of equipment.
• 10-20% Manages administrative functions including phone and Microsoft Teams communication, filing paperwork, and interface with Microsoft Excel to track and resolve order discrepancies.
• What this role will be doing: This group handles shipping items to temples and for temples. Someone who can assist with packaging, picking and packing supplies, and provisioning computers to temples. Getting computers into new temples and replacements for old computers. Feet on the ground, not much desk work (someone who knows Microsoft efficiently, inventory managing programs would be a bonus). Working with inventory, packaging, and putting packages away. Modify power cables and receiving inventory.

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Two-year college degree preferred.

Work Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in a logistics or logistics-related role.

Required Skills:

• Able to interface with computer programs including Microsoft Office.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Shipping/Receiving experience is very helpful
• Self-motivated and organized, someone who will come in and get the job done. Good customer service skills. Be able to work well in a team setting.

Worthiness Qualifications:

• Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
