Electrical Designer
Job Title: Electrical Designer
Location: Salt Lake City, UT or Houston, TX (Onsite position Monday - Friday)
Duration: Contract-to-Direct, Long-term
Pay rate: $45-$55/hr DOE
Job Responsibilities:
E&I Designer will provide project electrical and instrumentation design services and drafting services, including electrical layouts, equipment drawings, standard details and construction drawings.
Responsible for providing electrical, instrument and equipment controls design for Mining, Refining, Petrochemical, Natural Gas and other industrial and manufacturing facilities.
Provide improvement, modification and/or additions to electrical and instrumentation design documents as required to meet process requirements.
Ensures compliance with all project requirements including all drawings as listed in Technical Responsibilities below.
Ensures that discipline design/drafting standards and operations manuals are accurately maintained and that improvements are made when appropriate.
Job Requirements:
AS, BS or Technical Degree in design or related field or relevant industry experience.
5+ years of related EPC project experience in industrial electrical, instrumentation, equipment control systems, power distribution, Motor Controls, PLC controls and electrical machine design.
Proficient with AutoCAD 3D.
Prior experience with heavy industrial project design preferred.
Be able to travel for site visits to client locations.
Is a United States citizen able to meet background checks required by TWIC.
