Job Description:

Our client in the financial services space is in need for a 'Smart Hands' Tech Support person to assist with an office move and set up of their hardware devices. You will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, ensuring the smooth transition of IT infrastructure and systems during the relocation. This is a temporary role lasting between 2-4 weeks, starting next week.

Key Responsibilities:

• IT Equipment Setup & Tear-down: Assist with disconnecting, packing, unpacking, and reconnecting computers, servers, networking devices, and peripherals.
• Troubleshooting: Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues that may arise during the move.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal IT teams and external vendors to coordinate the timing and setup of IT infrastructure.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of IT setups, equipment, and network configurations.
• End-user Support: Assist employees with post-move IT issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

• Experience with IT infrastructure setup, tear-down, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to find an asset tag on device, find in inventory system, and remove from service (check a box).
• Experience setting up of workstations
• Familiarity with enterprise IT equipment, including computers, servers, switches, and routers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed.

• Previous experience in office relocations or similar projects.
• Knowledge of networking protocols and basic configuration (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, etc.) are a plus.
• Experience working in a professional work environment (Banking)
