Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Programming: Develop CNC programs for both vertical and horizontal lathes using machine controls and NX CAD/CAM software.
• CNC Expertise: Apply your knowledge of various CNC machines, including lathes, milling, EDM, and others, to optimize lathe process workflows.
• Tooling Solutions: Create and implement tooling solutions for cutting (e.g., custom tool holders, specialized part features) and work holding/fixturing (e.g., pie jaws, rings, clamps) to improve machining processes.
• Process Optimization: Analyze and enhance existing programs to boost efficiency and quality.
• Technical Support: Offer guidance to team members and collaborate with engineers to achieve mistake-proofing standards, as well as quality and production objectives.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of CNC paths, features, and tooling information for traceability.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas for productivity improvements and participate in initiatives to enhance operations.
• Training Support: Assist with training efforts to build team skills.
• Problem Solving: Resolve manufacturing and quality issues through root cause analysis.

Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise: Proficient in CNC machining processes for vertical and lathe operations. Experience with additional CNC processes, such as milling or EDM, is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in CNC programming or a related field.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• GD&T Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret GD&T on blueprints, process specifications, and technical drawings, particularly in aerospace or a comparable regulated industry.
• Machining Familiarity: Familiar with horizontal and vertical lathes, milling, and CNC operations. Experience with EDM is advantageous.
• Language Proficiency: Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills with the ability to accurately interpret blueprints and sketches.
