Long-term Contract: $90-$120 per hour

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Architect with expertise in Java development and AWS cloud environments to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will design and implement scalable, robust, and secure systems that align with our business goals. This role requires a deep understanding of system architecture principles, cloud infrastructure, and advanced Java development practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. System Architecture Design

• Design end-to-end system architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Develop and document architectural solutions, including diagrams and technical specifications.
• Define system integration strategies and establish best practices for development and deployment.

2. Java Development Expertise

• Lead the design and development of core system components using Java.
• Optimize Java applications for performance and scalability. Provide guidance on Java coding standards and best practices.

3. AWS Cloud Environment Management

• Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS. Leverage AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and more to build robust systems.
• Ensure systems adhere to AWS best practices for security, reliability, and cost optimization.

4. Technical Leadership

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership during project lifecycles.
• Conduct code reviews, system audits, and performance assessments.

5. System Monitoring and Troubleshooting

• Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system health.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues promptly. Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a System Architect or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Java development, including frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate.
• Extensive experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure. Solid understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect). Experience with serverless architecture and event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks and technologies.
