Job Description:

Our client is seeking an exceptionally talented and dedicated GCP Engineer to spearhead the development of one of the most secure systems in the cybersecurity industry. This role is pivotal, as you will be responsible for driving the GCP expansion across the organization, ensuring robust and secure cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the design, deployment, and management of GCP infrastructure to support their advanced cyber security initiatives.
• Implementing best practices for cloud security, ensuring that systems meet the highest standards of protection against cyber threats.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate GCP solutions seamlessly into existing systems and workflows.
• Utilizing your expertise in Java Spring Boot to develop and optimize SaaS applications with a strong focus on cyber security.
• Managing the full lifecycle of cloud deployment, from initial design through to production, ensuring timely and successful implementation by the end of November.

This is a brand new initiative, requiring someone with a proven track record of deploying and running production environments in GCP. The ideal candidate will be an expert in cloud security, with the ability to lead projects and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years in recent hands-on GCP dedicated design and implementation responsibilities
• 10+ years of engineering expertise Java Spring Boot a must
• Experience with Security in GCP
• Experience deploying Java Spring Boot software in GCP
• Knowledge of and experience with data warehousing and big data technologies
• Experience in SaaS and Enterprise DB technologies, including SQL queries and MySQL
• Experience with horizontal scaling, and with delivering Software as a Service
• Experience dealing with very large data structures

Bonus Skills:

• Experience working in a FedRAMP-compliant environment
• Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture utilizing containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology
• Kafka, Rabbit, Snowflake
• Experience with ETL and BI/Reporting
• Knowledge of and experience with OO, SOA, and Web Services (RESTful preferred) patterns and practices
• Experience developing cloud-native CI/CD workflows and tools, such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Cloud Build (Google), etc.
• Experience with AGILE and SCRUM methodologies
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
