ASL Computational Linguist
ASL Computational Linguist
Location: Remote
Long-Term Contract: $40-$60 per hour
Our client is in search of a ASL Computational Linguist to join their team on a long-term contract. You will give linguistic expertise for American Sign Language and help develop natural language processing (NLP) technologies.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of work as a Computational Linguist, data scientist, or software engineer
- Very high-level understanding of the syntax, morphology, semantics, phonology in regards to ASL.
- Experience with AI/NLP technologies
- Experience with data experiments
- Experience writing scripts with Python for data processing
- Experience with annotation
- Master's degree in linguistics, computational linguistics, language technologies or related field
Bonus Skills:
- Fluency in ASL or another sign language highly preferred
