Oracle Fusion Financials Technical Lead

ConsultNet McLean, VA (Onsite) Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Financials Technical Lead to oversee the implementation, customization, and integration of Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials (ERP). This role requires deep technical expertise in Oracle Fusion Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Tax, Procurement, etc.), along with strong leadership in solution architecture, data integration, reporting, and automation. The ideal candidate will lead a team of developers and consultants, ensuring seamless deployment, scalability, and performance optimization of Oracle Cloud Financials solutions.



Key Responsibilities:



Technical Leadership & Solution Design

  • Lead the technical design, architecture, and development for Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials implementations.
  • Define best practices for Oracle Cloud ERP configurations, customizations, and integrations.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to developers, consultants, and analysts working on Oracle Fusion projects.
  • Oversee data migration strategies, including the use of FBDI, ADFdi, and SQL scripts for financial transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, IFRS, GAAP, and other financial regulations in all system customizations.


Integration & Middleware Development

  • Design and implement integrations between Oracle Fusion Financials and third-party financial systems, banks, tax engines, and payroll platforms.
  • Develop and manage Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) solutions, REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware integrations.
  • Oversee banking and payment gateway integrations, including real-time transaction processing.
  • Ensure seamless data flow between Oracle Cloud ERP and external reporting or analytics platforms.


Custom Development & Automation

  • Lead the development of custom extensions and workflows using Oracle PaaS (Visual Builder Cloud Service, ADF, OCI services).
  • Implement automation solutions to improve financial processes such as financial close, cash reconciliation, and tax reporting.
  • Oversee Oracle BI Publisher, OTBI, Smart View, and OAC (Oracle Analytics Cloud) reporting solutions.
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and security of Oracle Fusion Financials applications.


Security, Compliance & Support

  • Ensure role-based security models (RBAC), user access controls, and audit compliance for financial transactions.
  • Conduct system performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting for Oracle Cloud ERP.
  • Monitor and apply Oracle Cloud updates, patches, and release upgrades to ensure system stability.
  • Collaborate with finance and IT teams to continuously enhance reporting accuracy and financial reconciliation.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Oracle Financials ERP, with at least 5+ years working with Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials.
  • Expertise in Oracle Fusion Financials modules: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CM), Tax, and Procurement.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of Oracle PaaS development (VBCS, ADF, OCI services) for custom application development.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, BI Publisher, OTBI, FBDI, ADFdi, and Fast Formula development.
  • Experience in multi-ledger, multi-currency, and intercompany financial processes.
  • Strong background in SOX compliance, financial audit controls, and data security in Oracle Cloud.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud: Technical Specialist, Oracle Cloud ERP Developer) are a plus.


Preferred Experience:

  • Experience leading enterprise-wide Oracle Fusion Financials implementations.
  • Knowledge of third-party financial software integrations, including tax, banking, and expense management systems.
  • Background in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud security standards.

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle PaaS Developer (Cloud Application Developer) with expertise in Oracle Fusion Financials to design, develop, and enhance cloud-based applications and integrations. The ideal candidate will have experience in Oracle PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) solutions, including Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS), Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), ADF, and OCI development tools. This role requires strong technical knowledge in custom extensions, financial data integration, API development, and automation to enhance the functionality of Oracle Fusion Financials.



Key Responsibilities:



Custom Cloud Application Development

  • Design, develop, and deploy custom extensions for Oracle Fusion Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Tax, Procurement, etc.) using Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) and Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF).
  • Develop custom UI components and workflows to enhance user experience within Oracle Cloud Financials.
  • Implement event-driven architectures and automation workflows using Oracle Process Cloud (PCS) and Oracle Workflow Engine.


Integration & Data Processing

  • Develop and manage APIs and integrations between Oracle Fusion Financials and third-party applications using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware tools.
  • Build and optimize financial data migrations and transformations using FBDI, ADFdi, and SQL scripts.
  • Ensure seamless connectivity with banking systems, payment gateways, tax engines, and payroll solutions.


Reporting & Analytics Development

  • Develop custom BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using BI Publisher, OTBI, and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
  • Optimize financial reporting performance and automation for faster period-end closing and reconciliation.
  • Support finance teams with ad-hoc reporting solutions using SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Smart View.


Security, Compliance & Performance Optimization

  • Implement role-based security models (RBAC) and access controls for Oracle Fusion Financials custom applications.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, IFRS, GAAP, and regulatory financial reporting standards.
  • Perform code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to optimize cloud applications and integrations.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Oracle Cloud Application Development with at least 3+ years focused on Oracle Fusion Financials (ERP Cloud).
  • Hands-on experience in Oracle PaaS development, including Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS), Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Strong expertise in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware solutions.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, JavaScript, and XML for custom financial application development.
  • Experience with data migration and transformation using FBDI, ADFdi, and Oracle Data Management tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices, user authentication (SSO, OAuth), and encryption techniques.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and automation in Oracle Cloud environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Platform Application Development Specialist, Oracle Cloud Financials Developer) are a plus.


Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working on multi-entity, multi-currency financial cloud implementations.
  • Knowledge of third-party banking, tax, and compliance system integrations.
  • Understanding of serverless computing and AI/ML integration with Oracle Cloud applications.
