$24- $30 an hour
Successful candidate will be responsible for measuring precision piece parts using various inspection equipment such as laser micrometers, air gages, CMM including inspecting processes. Should have leadership qualities and the skills to train and mentor others. Responsible for programming the CMMs for the most accurate and reliable measurements. Will also be responsible for suggesting best practices and improving processes based on corrective or preventive actions.
Requirements:
- Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- English language skills and the ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructions
- Intermediate math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, and fractions, for print reading and tolerance determination.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 5 years of precision mechanical inspection experience required with calipers; micrometers; indicators; and various gauges, e.g., height gauges; height masters; air gauges; CMM
- Experience with measuring tools and capability of measuring with a tolerance of +/- .0002
- Must have programming experience for CMM, OGP.
- Minimum four years of experience in a machine shop inspection environment.
- Minimum four years of experience in quality inspection.
