Mechanical Drafter
Job Title: Mechanical Piping Drafter
Location: Erie, PA
Duration: Contract to Hire, long-term
Pay range: $23.00 - $35.00 Hour W2 DOE
Job Responsibilities:
Working with the Sr Designers, the CAD Drafter will be responsible for coordinating and producing drawings and documents for installation, prefabrication and equipment.
Drafting detail work including red lines, mark-ups and change orders.
Create point layout drawings and documents and load onto hardware for field use.
Detail and dimension areas as required to provide clear installation directions to the field and shops.
Visit job site as necessary to field measure and perform point layout.
Maintain positive and professional relationships with customers, subcontractors, vendors, engineers,
etc.
Job Requirements:
Associate degree in CAD, drafting, engineering technology or other technical training or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of equivalent experience using 3D CAD software for mechanical and Piping applications.
AutoCAD, CadWorx, Bentley or other software systems will be considered.
Piping design and oil & gas, piping and piping systems industry experience required.
Should be familiar with a shop / fabrication environment.
Familiarity with Bentley CAD Systems is helpful.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and other office-oriented programs.
Excellent people and communication skills.
