Contract: $80-$110 per hour

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Back-End Java Engineer to join our team focused on enhancing our financial wellness platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with product managers, the engineering team, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Build, design, and develop high-performance back-end components using Java/Kotlin and related frameworks.
• Ensure the scalability and performance of code by writing clean, maintainable, and efficient solutions.
• Meet project milestones within defined timelines, delivering on short-term objectives in an efficient manner.
• Conduct peer reviews to uphold high-quality coding standards and contribute to a collaborative development environment.

• 5+ years of programming experience with a modern stack.
• Expertise in Java, Spring, AWS, Kotlin and PostgreSQL, Kubernetes.
• Strong grasp of relational databases and ORMs.
• Microservices architecture experience.
• Experience with CI/CD systems and GIT.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

• Experience scaling mission-critical, highly available systems.
• Full-stack knowledge in areas like systems (Kafka, Temporal, Docker), databases (DynamoDB), or front-end (JavaScript/TypeScript, React).
• Previous experience in B2B development.
