Job Description: Sr. BI Data Modeler

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented BI Data Modeler to join our team. The successful candidate will work across various departments to develop enterprise data models that meet the organization's reporting and analytics needs. Key qualifications include strong data modeling skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of business processes. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, data owners, and application developers to optimize data modeling for business objectives. You'll need to understand source systems and their role in business functions, as well as create and refine data models to facilitate engineering tasks. Proficiency in tools such as Databricks, Power BI, DAX, SQL, and Python is essential, while experience in ML and AI model development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Data Ingestion team to develop the "Gold " layer in a Medallion Architecture.
• Implement robust data security and masking protocols.
• Build enterprise-level data models for Power BI reporting and business analytics.
• Work with business leaders to prioritize data analysis and enhancements.
• Identify the need for composite data models and convey their structure to teams.
• Write complex DAX code and SQL queries.
• Troubleshoot issues and support the development of ML and AI models.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, IT, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience ensuring data quality and preparing data models.
• Experience with AI platforms and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Proficient in Azure, Databricks, SQL, Python, Power BI, and DAX.
• 3+ years of experience managing client projects under tight deadlines.
• Possess both independent and collaborative work abilities.
