Automation Controls Engineer I, II or III
Job Title: Automation Controls Engineer II or III
Location: West Jordan, UT (onsite Monday - Friday)
Ability to travel up to 50% (Domestic US & some international to France)
Duration: Direct-hire, Full Time
Pay range: $80-100KYR W2 DOE
Responsibilities:
Working in a team environment with other team members such as engineering, sales, customers and sales representatives.
Perform system evaluations, determines hardware and software requirements as outline by the customer/sales.
Create bill of material for the equipment assembly project.
Coordinate technical teams (calculations, prototypes, testing) to validate solutions.
Create AutoCAD electrical and programmable logic controller wiring circuit's layout.
Field start-up and de-bug of complete controls systems.
Able to assist with the training of technical /non technical personnel both in house and at the
customers' plants (maintenance / operators / supervisors) in proper operation of new equipment.
Provide support for start up of new equipment, and existing equipment such as program changes or PLC/HMI upgrades.
Ensure that all equipment will properly interface to other mechanical and electrical systems.
Train clients on machine use.
Provide support/troubleshoot for clients after machine delivery.
Job requirements:
BS or AS degree in Electrical engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Automation & Control Systems, or Industrial IT with a minimum of 2 years' work experience in a Controls and instrumentation industry.
Automation expertise: Industrial IT, ST/C++ programming, motion, safety, and robotics.
Good knowledge in PLC and HMI programming mostly using Allen Bradley platforms .
ALLEN BRADLEY experience necessary. Siemens is a plus.
Ability to travel up to 50% (Mostly US, some international to France)
Good knowledge of networking.
Sound knowledge of engineering theory and design criteria
Strong AutoCAD and MS Office products skills
Self motivated, good team working skills, able to work on multiple tasks concurrently.
Good organizational skills
Good service attitude
