EDR Security Analyst
EDR Security Analyst - Jacksonville, FL
6 month+ contract
Pay Range - $50-$55/hr (Must be able to work without sponsorship)
Position Overview: The EDR Security Analyst is responsible for safeguarding the organization's digital infrastructure by implementing and managing advanced Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems. This role focuses on monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security threats targeting endpoints, ensuring that the organization's security posture is robust and compliant with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain documentation for EDR system administration and security procedures.
- Conduct continuous monitoring and analysis of endpoint activity to identify suspicious behavior and potential threats.
- Implement and configure EDR solutions to enhance endpoint security.
- Manage and remediate vulnerabilities identified through EDR tools, ensuring timely and effective responses to threats.
- Monitor and investigate alerts generated by EDR systems to detect and respond to potential security incidents.
- Participate in the analysis of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) data, focusing on endpoint-related events.
- Utilize technical expertise to manage and optimize EDR tools, ensuring maximum protection against security breaches.
- Assess the security impact of changes to endpoint environments and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate EDR systems with existing security infrastructure.
- Evaluate new EDR technologies and solutions, making recommendations to enhance endpoint protection.
- Participate in incident response activities, with a focus on endpoint security incidents.
Experience:
- 5 to 7 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles, with a focus on EDR solutions.
- Proficiency in administering and managing EDR platforms, such as CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, or similar.
- Experience with antivirus and advanced threat detection tools.
- Strong understanding of endpoint security principles, including malware detection, threat hunting, and incident response.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, TCP/IP, and endpoint-related network protocols.

- Strong analytical skills, with a focus on detecting and mitigating endpoint threats.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical information for various audiences.
- Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to maintaining endpoint security.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team to develop and implement effective security strategies.
