Sr. Configuration Analyst
Title: Sr. Configuration Analyst
Location: West Des Moines, Iowa hybrid 2 days a week onsite
Target Start Date: 3/10/25
Type: Contract-to-hire
Pay: $62-72/hr
Job Description: The Senior Configuration Analyst plans and conducts a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure all application products and services meet organizational standards and end-user requirements. This includes performing test planning, test design and test execution. In addition to these responsibilities, the Senior Analyst will also configure products, business rules, workflows, forms, and user interfaces to support business processes as defined below.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares requirements documentation for system modifications.
- Advocates for the use of qTest, JIRA leveraging test automation, and Mob Test Design.
- Has expertise in more than one of the following domains: LifePro, EOE Systems or Automation
- Conducts testing of configuration changes done by other Analysts and facilitates user acceptance testing for system modifications.
- Interacting with Forms group on requirements for New Business/Service forms on Electronic Order Entry (EOE) systems, Orion and LifePro
- Supporting production LifePro and EOE systems for problem resolution.
- Handles all requests for new CUSIP numbers and coordinates with other areas until request is completed.
- Supporting distributor data needs and setup of new distributors on EOE Systems .
- Configuring products and funds on EOE systems and/or Lifepro
- Will take lead in supporting production data problems reported by our distributors or LifePro Production area.
- Implementation of forms and product changes
- Participates in carrier forums to keep current on changes happening in the industry so American Equity can respond timely, and reports any updates/changes to the Manager.
- Assists Manager with scheduling of projects for EOE platforms
- Executes unit testing for EOE platform changes and product changes
- Utilizes qTest and qTest Explorer to create tests, execute them and log defects
- Utilizes JIRA with Confluence to plan and execute workflow of projects.
- Bachelor's degree Information Technology, Business Administration or related field of study; plus a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience with XML and SQL
- Insurance Industry experience working with annuity principles and products including the application of related federal and state laws.
- Comprehensive knowledge of LifePro and other Product Systems
- Experience with qTest and qTest Explorer
- Experience working with EOE platforms, VTXml tool, Firelight and XML Spy tool.
- Experience with DTCC Files along with ACORD, XML, Firelight, RepPro, Ebix and Affirm platforms
- Experience with other policy admin systems similar to LifePro
- Strong problem-solving skilsl with ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in a timely manner on problems that deal with several concrete variables
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
