6+ month contract-to-hire

Contract Rate $20 - $30 per hour

Job Description

Well established local Civil Engineering firm expanding their team and bringing onboard an additional member of their drafting team. Working with Municipal Civil projects, including roadways, subdivisions, easements, utilities, water projects, and similar. Work closely with engineering staff, survey teams, field-crews. Produce civil project plans, drawings, designs and red-lines for projects. Will also learn and be occasionally mentored by other engineering staff with areas you may not have full competency at yet.

Required Skills:

• 1-3 years Civil Drafting experience – preferably with municipal infrastructure projects.
• AutoCAD, especially AutoCAD Civil 3D experience to be able to create and modify construction drawings for civil projects
• Some coursework, or formal education in civil drafting
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, sketches, and specifications
• Basic knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to civil engineering projects
