Pay: $200,000 - $230,000
Job Description:
The AWS Cybersecurity Architect will have deep expertise in AWS cybersecurity practices and a proven track record in designing and implementation of AWS landing zones for large enterprise environments. As an integral member of our cybersecurity team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our customer's AWS infrastructure and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- AWS Solution Design: Architect and design scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS cloud solutions based on client requirements and best practices.
- Security Architecture: Integrate security best practices into AWS architecture designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the implementation and deployment of AWS solutions.
- Security Assessments: Conduct security assessments and reviews of AWS environments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Identity and Access Management (IAM): Design IAM strategies and implement role-based access controls (RBAC) for AWS services and resources.
- Encryption and Data Protection: Implement encryption solutions and manage key management services (KMS) to protect data at rest and in transit within AWS environments.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure AWS solutions comply with internal security policies, as well as industry standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR).
- Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Implement and configure AWS security monitoring tools (e.g., CloudTrail, GuardDuty) and develop incident response plans for AWS environments.
- Automation and DevSecOps: Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate security controls and integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
- Documentation and Training: Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, security controls, and operational procedures. Provide training and knowledge sharing sessions on AWS security best practices.
- AWS Solutions Architect Certification
- Experience with serverless architectures
- Proven experience as an architect with a focus on security design and implementation
- Strong understanding of AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, and CloudFormation
- Knowledge of all frameworks, standards, and principles including NIST, TOGAF, and FISMA
- CISSP, CCSP, or AWS Certified Security-Specialty
- Experience being client-facing
Day to Day
- Design and implement robust security architectures for AWS environments, leveraging native AWS security services and third-party tools where necessary.
- Lead the design and development of AWS landing zones tailored to meet the specific security and operational requirements of large enterprise clients.
- Conduct security assessments, audits, and penetration testing activities to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
