Location: Rockville, Maryland - Hybrid - 2 days onsite

Target Start Date: April 1, 2025

Type: Long term contract

Pay Rate: up to $78, DOE

As a Developer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality web applications using the latest web technologies.

Essential Job Functions:

• Participate in design reviews and solution development using cutting-edge technologies.
• Write clean, high-quality code that adheres to the latest industry standards.
• Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on project-level tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and scalability issues to ensure optimal user experience.
• Ensure adherence to technology policies and security controls.
• Maintain a focus on delivering work products that meet or exceed our quality standards.
• Take collective ownership of end-to-end solution delivery.
• Act as a champion for the collaborative resolution of defects and issues.
• Provide backup coverage for the Delivery Lead when necessary.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with at least six (6) years of relevant experience, or equivalent training and/or work experience.
• Hands-on experience developing web applications as microservices using cloud services and serverless technologies.
• Strong experience in developing and maintaining web applications using Angular or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript development.
• Experience with Java, Python, or other backend scripting languages.
• Familiarity with leading software engineering methodologies, including Test Automation, Build Automation, and Configuration Management frameworks.
• Excellent communication, organization, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Desired Skills:

Working knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases and data storage technologies.
