App Support Engineer
Long Beach
Direct hire
Salary: $85-100K

We are looking for an Applications & Support Engineer who is responsible for performing a wide variety of technical tasks, including but not limited to responding to customer help center requests and phone calls, supporting software development through testing and feedback to the Engineering group, supporting sales activities, working closely with customers to provide training and onsite product demonstrations, and attending trade shows and seminars.
We are looking for someone who will provide help center, phone, or on-site troubleshooting and technical support. The candidate will arrange and/or provide WebEx, Skype or on-site training. Working closely with Sales, help define/review product and system requirements for hardware and software. Regularly participate in software stakeholders meetings which include test software and system performance as necessary to ensure customer needs are addressed. This candidate will define potential custom accessories or software features needed to meet specific needs at customer sites. You must be able to create documentation and training materials as assigned. Interface with customer service department to assure that customer expectations are met. You may also be attending tradeshows and regional seminars.

Required skills:
  • Technical degree in electronics/engineering (or equivalent training) with a minimum 5 years of test laboratory experience supporting transducer and data acquisition systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Multicultural experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to make effective product demonstrations and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Must possess strong basic computer skills: Microsoft Windows & Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to master numerous of their software products and tools
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time, meet deadlines, and coordinate with other departments.
  • Under the supervision of the CTO of Support, the Applications & Support Engineer is responsible for performing a wide variety of technical tasks, including but not limited to responding to customer help center requests and phone calls, supporting software development through testing and feedback to the Engineering group, supporting sales activities, working closely with customers to provide training and onsite product demonstrations, and attending trade shows and seminars.
