Job Responsibilities:
An individual classified as and Automation Engineer is a member of the Automation team, reporting to the Manager of the Automation Group.  Individual will be required to work under minimal supervision to design, develop and implement control system solutions for industrial applications.
Design, develop and commission industrial automation systems.
Creating BOM's and I/O lists. 
Maintain and update project documentation.
Develop HMI/Graphics for SCADA and DCS applications.
Ensure customer satisfaction with all aspects of project execution and final solution.
Create and maintain customer relationships.
Travel to customer sites as required implementing projects.
 
Job Requirements:
BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical)
5+ years Refining, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Mining experience related to the design and implementation of Industrial Automation Systems.
5+ years' experience programming PLC/DCS Systems including Client, TPS/Experion, FCS/SMC, Emerson, Allen-Bradley, and Modicon.
Experience with low voltage power systems, field instrumentation and associated technologies in industrial environments.
Experience developing a BOM based on I/O count.
Experience in developing Client Specifications.
Understanding of interlock shutdown systems.
Working knowledge of current design codes and standards (i.e. IEC, NEC, NFPA, ANSI).
Ability to read/interpret P&ID's, C&E, loop drawings, and other design documents.
Knowledge of industrial control communication network topology and protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Ethernet, Profibus.
A working understanding of all languages listed in IEC 61131-3.
Proficient in troubleshooting process control systems from instrument to HMI.
A US citizen or lawful permanent resident able to pass necessary background requirements for TWIC.
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
Extensive experience with MS Office Suite.
 
Preferred experience:
Experience developing design drawings using Auto-CADD or Visio.
Experience with a control system integrator or EPC firm.
Understanding of SIS, IEC61508, CFSE/CFSP, SIL Ratings, PHA, MOC.
