Job Title: CAD/CAM Operator
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Duration: Contract-to-hire, long-term
Pay range: $24-$26/hour DOE

Job Responsibilities:
The operator will perform scans to the casting that customers provide and well as work in any digital file the customer may have prepared.
Within the software they will make digital modifications to the model.
The successful candidate will support the Design of 3D models in CAD and assist with operating the different CAM systems.
Perform fabrication tasks such as digital modification of orthotic and prosthetic devices, operation of 5 and 7 axis carving equipment and support activities of running SLS 3D printing.
Assures quality of work by correctly using and understanding job quality check sheets.
Safely operates shop equipment and follows safety guidelines.
Participates in departmental meetings, process improvements, and required training.
Digitize and design files for custom orthotic and prosthetic devices.
Creating tool pathing for carve files.
Support programming of 5 & 7 axis carving equipment.
Support design of production tooling.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Demonstrates positive attitude toward safety, product quality, product schedule, and product cost.

Job Qualifications:
Associates/ bachelor's degree in CAD Design/Engineering Technology or similar.
1-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Experience with CAM operating CNC of a 5 or 7 axis carver.
A strong CAM background to support programming of the machines.
Strong 3D modeling skills.
Familiar with surfacing techniques.
Experience with engineering drawing/drafting standards and practices.
Efficient CAD ability.
PC literate in Microsoft applications. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote)
Experience with Creo (preferred), SolidWorks, or other design software.
Knowledge of Anatomy is a plus
