Our client, one of the largest Amazon Web Services (AWS) partner for data services, is looking for top talent to join their elite team of technologists to build and contribute to large-scale, innovative projects. Our client wants candidates who are eager to learn and grow with them as they work to move their market monitoring applications to modern big data platforms in the cloud where up to 60 billion market events are being processed each day.

If you are a fast learner, have a sharp mathematical and technical mind and are interested in working for one of the biggest data users in the country in a fast-paced, open source environment, our client has an immediate need for a Data Analyst  to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the product planning and execution of one or more products throughout its lifecycle, including: defining the product vision, developing roadmaps.
  • Analyze large data sets to gain an understanding of the data, discover data anomalies, and look for ways to leverage data in support of our client’s regulatory mission.
  • Document key business processes, technical requirements and data transformations.
  • Maintain relationships with business and technical staff across the enterprise to understand data requirements and usage patterns and working closely with engineering, business, support, and industry participants to ensure business objectives and customer satisfaction goals are met.
  • Become the Subject Matter Expert in the Domain
  • Take over maintenance and building of new dashboards using Splunk.
  • Guide and support the project team during development to ensure that business goals are achieved.
  • Drive continual product improvements based on ongoing customer research and usability studies
  • Prioritize a product backlog based upon business impact and effort;
  • Develop product vision and roadmaps, and the preparation of business cases
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – must be able to stand up and defend model and data analysis to team members
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to use sound judgment when resolving complex problems
  • Well organized, thorough, and able to handle competing priorities
  • Strong SQL, including analytic functions
  • Able to explain data models, requirements and quality issues to non-data savvy users
 Other Skills/Interests:
  • Financial Industry experience
  • Writing Dashboards using SPLUNK
