Title: IT Support Specialist
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Duration: Contract-to-direct, long-term
Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Hourly pay rate: $20-$25/hr

Job Responsibilities:
The IT Support Specialist will take ownership of users' concerns and see problems through to resolution. Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve blocking points.
Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriated internal IT department and, occasionally, access to any other departments' responsible person.
The IT Support Specialist will execute on task related to all frontline/end-user functions including but not limited to - PC/Laptop Support, Help/Service Desk, Software & Tools, Printers & Peripherals, Tablet/Mobile Device Support, Regional and Local Office IT coverage, Conference Room Support (audio, video, projector, screen, other), local office IT Room operations, office move/add/changes and other IT/Tech services as warranted.
Provide prompt and accurate feedback to users with a proper recording of problem resolution steps in the company support platforms.
Answering questions from users and about features and General IT infrastructure and supported platforms.
Primary participant in the delivery of high performing service support function, prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time
Rapidly establish a good working relationship with all other professionals
Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
Talk customers through a series of actions and supports, either face-to-face, over the telephone, on within the support platform, to help set up systems or resolve issues
Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnose and solve hardware or software faults in collaboration with other IT dept. members
Set up new users' accounts, profiles, and deal with any issues related to their profiles, Windows environment, and supported applications (e.g., Terminal Server, email, ERP)
In conjunction with the IT Service Delivery Manager, research, evaluate and recommend new hardware and software to support an expanding enterprise system infrastructure
Document and maintain hardware and software standards
Maximize use of hardware and software by training users; interpreting instructions; answering questions.
Install software into production by properly and securely loading software into computer following specifications and requirements
Place hardware into production by establishing necessary connections into the existing environment

Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Associates Degree or higher degree (or equivalent) preferred
Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities
CompTIA A+ or Network+ Certification a plus
3+ years of experience in an IT end-user support role required
Clear understanding of Active Directory and basic Windows security
Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 suite of tools (emphasis on Outlook)
Understanding of concepts related to Public/Private Cloud infrastructures and VMware/vSphere
Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking, including DNS, DHCP and VoIP
Understanding of Enterprise ERP systems (MS Dynamics NAV), access methods and basic trouble-shooting.
A passion for Service Improvement
Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with users at various levels of expertise & command of their computing devices to establish what the problem is, solve it, and/or explain the solution
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer facing/customer service skills
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
