Job Description

Title: Lead Content Strategist, Location: NYC, DIRECT PERM w. Client.

Our client is looking for a Lead Content Strategist. In this new position within the growing business team, you will re-imagine our client's business content, starting with creating one unified digital content experience for the range of businesses we serve from small/medium, enterprise, public sector, and wholesale as well as our growing portfolio of products and solutions.
You'll work collaboratively with UX designers, visual designers and product managers to create experiences to help potential business customers Client and learn about our services and products including mobile internet, point of sale products, cloud services, and productivity tools and devices. In addition to shaping products, you'll shape process, coaching others in best practices and demonstrating the value of content strategy and UX writing in customer-centered experiences.
Responsibilities:
Defining the content strategy for robust new digital properties.
Unifying content management systems.
Working closely with stakeholders to define and create content that is accessible, understandable, actionable and engaging.
Leading internal content strategy work sessions and presentations.
Defining and socializing content specifications outlining content components and guidelines to ensure a consistent experience across touch points, with attention to core product and related touch points (marketing landing pages, emails, direct mail, etc.)
Defining objectives and success criteria for content, gathering and analyzing existing content, and identifying and implementing recommendations for improving content.
Partnering with design researchers to propose content research initiatives, define research goals, create research stimuli and translate findings into plans of action that drive refinements.
Partnering with IT to understand technical implications of content and help implement content accessibility standards.
Acting as UX writer
Growing the business content strategy team.
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience with content strategy practice, including enterprise site redesigns.
B2B experience.
Stakeholder management experience.
Agile or other sprint-based project experience.
Knowledge of Sketch, Invision and related design tools.
Willingness to provide a portfolio of relevant work.
Even better:
A degree.
Six or more years of content strategy practice, including large-scale, enterprise site redesigns.
Two or more years of UX writing for a range of web and mobile experiences.
Abilities in secondary areas including UX design, visual design, research, information architecture.
Knowledge with human-centered design methodologies, empathy for end users, and passion for teaching and learning from others to shape process and culture.
Willingness to travel between NJ AND NYC locations as needed.
