Job Description

Linux Systems Engineer
Direct Hire
Orem, Utah
Pay Target $90k - $115k


Job Summary:
This is a team of about 5 people, in a 200+ employee company. In this role, you will be focusing most of your time support, maintaining, helping architect (when possible), and occasionally travelling to the data centers where the systems are located. This company is 100% private cloud, and 100 percent in 6 data centers throughout the world in major metropolis areas. Work alongside another Sr Linux Systems Engineer. There are 2 other Windows Systems Engineers supporting other areas of the company.

Cloud since this company is 100% in the cloud, there are a lot of tools they use to create and manage builds out on the servers. Also work to ensure those systems are up and running of the time in an always-on environment.



Required Skills:
  • 5+ years Linux Systems Engineering experience in an enterprise environment
    • RHEL and CentOS
  • Task Automation experience using scripting tools such as Python, Ruby or similar. Anything that demonstrates how you can make your life easier and not having to manually repeat your systems tasks
  • Apache / Tomcat
  • Load Balancers, LDAP, DNS, authentication, database connections...
  • Understands Continuous Integration / Deliver (CI/CD)
  • Experience with Ansible playbook or similar product (open to learning/using Ansible).
  • Systems/Network monitoring tools experience (they use Solarwinds and Nagio. The are open to trying some new monitoring tools and you should be open to exploring and trying new ones too)

Desired Skills:
College Degree, or Vo-Tec training school for networking
