Job Description

Title: Mine Reliability Engineer
Location: Battle Mountain, NV
Duration: 6-12+ months, contract
Ray range: $50-$60/hr DOE
Lodging:  Housing & per diem provided

Job Summary:
Assessing, researching, prioritizing, designing, implementing, improving, training, documenting, creating best practices, and manage the mine maintenance system while advising management and working closely with hourly staff.
Perform vibration and oil analysis; interpret data results, and recommend courses of action.
Job Responsibilities:
Start up and implement a maintenance PM system:
Mechanical and Mechanical Integrity (MI) PMs
MSHA rules and regulations and applicable codes and regulatory requirement
Standardization of mine mechanical equipment
Create, track and log mechanical PMs and procedures
Create, track and log MI PMs (utilizing work order system)
Participate in MI audits
Mechanical on demand maintenance engineering
Work with Engineers for standardization of plant mechanical equipment
Conduct safety and housekeeping audits / SWI behavior audits
Make inspections of working area
Maintenance Engineering projects (projects expensed to the cost center)
Root cause failure analysis
Corrosion / erosion control
Dye penetrant testing
Develop vibration data gathering and analysis system
Equipment reliability improvements
Identify opportunities for equipment improvement and cost reductions (SAP)
Develop implementation plan for equipment improvement and cost reductions
Assist capital and plant areas on major equipment overhauls
Interface with outside vendors to improve process / equipment reliability
Perform root cause failure analysis
Facilitate equipment reliability improvements
Education Requirements:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related experience with certification such as CMRP, etc.
10+ years Maintenance Reliability Engineering and Preventive Maintenance program/system experience in a heavy industrial environment.
Proven experience setting up a Reliability Program from the ground up.
Candidates with 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and current 8-hour refresher training are preferred.
