Title: MuleSoft/API Developer
Location: Iselin, NJ
Duration: 12+ months

Position Overview
The MuleSoft/API Developer will be responsible for architecture and design activities to provision and configure end-point connections between multiple on premises and/or cloud hosted systems using MuleSoft. This person will be a leader in partnering with team members to assess, define, and implement world-class solutions. This position also requires the individual to be responsible for other functions normally within the realms of Functional Analyst, Development Lead and Training.
Responsibilities 50%
  • Work with business partners to analyze and define requirements a function typically performed by a Functional Analyst.
  • Design, document and implement complex integration solutions.
  • Hands on coding of the solutions will be required that is typically performed by the Development Lead and or Developers.
  • Build software frameworks and perform code review to ensure implementations are reusable and meet high quality standards.
  • Assist management in defining software development guidelines.
  • Define and maintain a Center of Excellence for Middleware integration.
  • Train other developers in best practices of MuleSoft implementation.
  • Create documentation utilized for Quality Assurance and supervise the initial validation prior to UAT.
  • Responsible for the creation of documentation utilized for Production Support and perform second level Production Support.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or an equivalent
  • 10 years in an Information Technology role dealing with software design and development.
  • Must have 4+ years of experience in design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of MuleSoft APIs and MuleSoft AnyPoint 3.X-4.X
  • 5+ years of experience with Integration Architecture concepts and patterns, including Micro Services, Service Oriented Architecture, Batch Integration, RESTful JSON services, etc.
  • Significant experience with C# or Java, Python, MVC design pattern, JQuery, KendoUI.
  • Experience with Salesforce integration is highly desirable.
  • Advanced in SQL query language in an MS environment
  • Understanding of Relational Database and data warehouse designs.
  • Background in Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Experience in Agile/Kanban/Lean methodologies
  • Create project documentation to ensure support team can provide high level of support.
  • A collaborative, consultative approach and the ability to gain confidence of business Associates. Must be equally comfortable with technical or business Associates.
  • Willingness to learn new web development technology.
  • Must be a self-starter and quick learner and be able to multitask.
  • High energy level, strong work ethic and attention to detail with ability to execute on-time, and on-spec.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
