Job Description

Job Title: Piping Designer
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Duration: Contract 6+ months, long term
Pay range: $40-50.00 Hour W2 DOE

Job responsibilities:
Use CADWorx software to prepare and/or revise drawings, sketches and layouts of single units, parts, or components.
Performs design and drafting duties with a client's operating facility or in the field in support of construction projects, including walk-downs.

Job Requirements:
Associates degree or a two-year college or technical school training in Computer Aided Design and Computer Drafting.
5-15+ years of work experience in Computer Drafting, or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires working knowledge of AutoCAD and CADWorx.
Ability to work in an industrial setting (manufacturing facility, oil refinery, chemical processing, or mining).
Understanding of Piping & Instrument Diagram (P&ID's) for a process system.
Ability to read and comprehend piping drawings.
Knowledge of appropriate use of pipe fittings and materials in industrial applications.
Ability to identify pipe components and symbols required to create piping drawings.
