Our client, one of the largest Amazon Web Services (AWS) partner for data services, is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their elite team of technologists to build and contribute to large-scale, innovative projects.

Enterprise Legal Management Product Implementation
 
 
Our client is seeking a seasoned project manager to lead the implementation of an Enterprise Legal Management product (SaaS) within their organization.  The individual will coordinate activities on behalf of participating business units, oversee the implementation services provided by the vendor, and coordinate with their internal technology teams. The project manager will ensure program commitments are delivered within approved timeframes, scope, and budget.  Qualified candidates will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, have experience managing business and technical activities required to successfully adopt transformational technology, and thrive managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
 
Job Responsibilities:
 
  • Work closely with the business units, the third-party vendor and our client’s Technology teams to plan and coordinate all activities related to the implementation. 
  • Manage scope and schedule, including key business critical milestones and dependencies, to ensure successful delivery within the agreed-upon timeline.
  • Collaborate with all parties to develop and manage the project plan. Foster commitment and transparency by ensuring visibility to all stakeholders in formats appropriate to the audience.
  • Proactively identify and manage program issues, risks and dependencies.  Assess likelihood and magnitude of impact, determine mitigation strategies, and escalate where appropriate.
  • Manage the project budget which includes labor, license, vendor, and other costs; track approved budget, forecasts, and actuals; and resolve variances.
  • Develop a communication plan to ensure transparency, visibility and collaboration with project participants. Engage with stakeholders using impactful and effective methods appropriate for the purpose and audience. Use best practices in collaboration tools and techniques to maintain alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships; address concerns and feedback in a timely and effective manner.
  • Foster collaboration to continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of project services.
 
Qualifications
 
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical, IT management, or related field
    • MBA or other related advanced degree preferred
    • Project Management certification preferred
  • 7+ years project management experience leading increasingly large, complex projects, including 3+ years leading projects involving third-party SaaS products. 
  • Strong knowledge of major software development lifecycle approaches.
  • Proven ability to ensure customer objectives, goals, and commitments are met.
  • Experience engaging and managing external service providers to achieve business goals and objectives and ensure adherence to SLAs.
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire in-depth knowledge and understanding of business needs and establish high levels of trust, credibility and rapport with stakeholders at all levels, both within and outside of the organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.  Ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and using legal department technology solutions strongly preferred.
  • Experience in organizational change management and business process reengineering desirable.
