Job Description:
Our client has an immediate opening in their Chicago office for a high-energy Relationship Manager with a track record of leading Product Development projects in partnership with customers and internal stakeholders. Success in this role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, exceptional organizational skills, close attention to detail, a passion for collaboration, and the ability to navigate stakeholder relationships objectively.

What you'll need to be successful:
  • Will work directly with our client's end user and be accountable to the identified business owners throughout all project phases
  • Will work onsite at our client's end user office for number of days per week as determined by our client
  • Works with oversight and alongside our client's Program Manager throughout project
  • Will manage the communication and delivery of the project throughout the project phases and domains: project conception and initiation, project definition and planning, project launch or execution, project performance and control, and project close, all in close partnership with the our client's Program Manager
  • Previous experience working with education clients or in the educational technology industry a plus
  • Will commit to high levels of collaboration and communication within working team and with our client's end user. Expect daily, fluid engagement among teams for effective, synergistic partnering
  • Responsibilities will include:
    • Creation and maintenance of a project plan and timeline for the curriculum design/customization, implementation, training/professional learning, and maintenance/support.
    • Integration of project management deliverables into other plans under the Curriculum Program, as guided by our client's Program Manager
    • Collaborates with key project stakeholders to drive communication, establish trust, and identify risks and issues
    • Document and fully manage risks and issues, especially for high-impact risks; collaborates with team to course correct
    • Identifies and communicates project resource forecasting aligned to project plan, in conjunction with our client's Program Manager
    • Communicates at all levels on the project with transparency, data, and facts; reports on status of assigned projects
  • Expert communicator at all levels
  • Demonstrated leadership through collaboration, especially within a matrix environment
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Certification or expertise in Project Management framework and methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
  • Analytical and strategic mindset
  • Highly skilled at diplomacy and conflict resolution
  • Experience using portfolio project management (PPM) tools such as SmartSheet, SharePoint / OneDrive, Google Drive
