Job Title: Senior Development Manager (Wealth Management)
Location: Downtown NYC
Duration: Direct Hire
Salary: DOE (depending on experience)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities
This Senior Development Manager will be responsible for the existing systems, as well as strategic direction for the technology platforms associated with the systems. The systems are 30-40 years old and will be moving to a new platform. Client needs a 'Change Artist to be successful in this position.

Broadly, the ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of success in the following areas:

  • Distributed technologies
  • History of hands on development
  • Strategic planning and implementation

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Understands Rules Engines
  • Compensation Systems
  • Wealth Management experience
  • Distributed Technologies
  • Complex analytics
  • 10+ years of experience, with increasing levels of responsibility, managing technology in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills; written, verbal, and presentation
  • Managing teams in both distributed and mainframe platforms, including data and services specific skillsets
  • Mainframe experience is a big plus

Financial Technology:

  • Strong understanding of brokerage and banking process flows
  • Experience in brokerage core processing related to trade booking and revenue generation
  • Understanding of banking related fees processing
  • Understanding of Compensation and/or Revenue generation process flows
  • Strong understanding and aptitude for financial analytics
  • History of hand on experience in technology development:

    • Past or present specific skills developing robust technology solutions
    • Experience in database technologies, including, but not limited to DB2, MS SQL Server
    • Programming languages such as .net, Java
    • Development using Business Objects or other BI tools


Strategic Planning:

  • Past experience developing and implementing strategic programs
  • Strong skills in data and process flow analysis and design
  • Ability to work across user groups, architecture, infrastructure, development, scalability, and quality assurance
  • Experience in large scale release and deployment portions of the development life cycle
