Our client wants candidates who are eager to learn and grow with them as they work to move their market monitoring applications to modern big data platforms in the cloud where up to 60 billion market events are being processed each day.

If you are a fast learner, have a sharp mathematical and technical mind and are interested in working for one of the biggest data users in the country in a fast-paced, open source environment, our client has an immediate need for a Senior Product Manager to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems
About the Role: One Product Manager is typically assigned to one Program within a Portfolio. The Product Manager has overall accountability for establishing the Program backlog based on priorities, events and dependencies with other teams. They must understand what the customer wants and communicate requirements to the Program and Delivery Teams. This individual is responsible for the creation, readiness and acceptance criteria of the Epics and Features. They must also collaborate with the Product Owner to prepare the User Stories for estimation in Sprint Planning and review User Story acceptance criteria to ensure they meet expectations.
The Person in this Role: Represents the interests of all stakeholders, sponsors, and potential customers on the Program team. The Product Manager has the ultimate responsibility for the priority of items in a release and works with business stakeholders in terms of the scope of those items.  The Product Manager partners with the Solutions Architect in defining and documenting Epics, Features, and Acceptance Criteria that reflects the needs of the Customer/Business.  The Product Manager will work with the Program Manager to plan scenarios and quality of service requirements for a release.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with senior management, technical and client teams in order to determine requirements
  • Collaborates with key partners across Business and Technology to ensure release content governance
  • Owns and prioritizes six months of roadmap
  • Defines Releases, Features and high-level Acceptance Criteria
  • Ensures the Program team has the information and knowledge necessary to define Features and associated Acceptance Criteria
  • Accepts or rejects completed work based on acceptance criteria
  • Partners with other Product Managers to prioritize Epics and Features with dependencies
  • Works with the Product Owner to continually groom the Epic and Feature backlog
  • Writes Epics and Features and associated Acceptance Criteria
  • Works with the Product Owner and Delivery Team to set clear expectations
  • Partner with the Test Lead to build Test/Use Cases
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
  • Understanding of the client and business needs and wants
  • Ability to translate user and business requirements into the necessary level of detail
  • Proficiency in conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to juggle many requests while maintaining clear priorities
  • Effectively deal with complexity and change
  • Successfully able to separate facts from emotion and make decisions based on these facts
  • Good skills in collaboration, presentation, facilitation, communication, and negotiation
 
Other Skills/Interests:
  • Financial Industry experience.
