Job Title: Senior Business Analyst (Credit/Market Risk)
Location: Split between Jersey City, NJ & Midtown, Manhattan locations
Duration: 6 month contract with very probable extension

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Financial client is looking for a Sr. Business Analyst with Credit and Market Risk, Capital Markets knowledge and heavy Data Analyst skills (i.e. Excel, SQL).

This is for a data onboarding project (positions, instruments, products, accounts), which does not require Risk Management subject matter expertise.

Required Experience/Skills:
 

  • Evaluate and design risk technology architecture, risk reporting solutions, risk and controls frameworks, third party vendor risk assessments, definition of business requirements, system design, integration, testing and deployment.
  • Provide technology solutions to complex Credit Risk and capital issues including enterprise Credit, Regulatory and economic capital management across major sectors of the financial services industry: capital markets, commercial banking, retail banking, and insurance/asset management.
  • Assist clients in implementing technology solutions to meet their Credit Risk needs, specifically around Credit Risk management, risk-adjusted performance measurement and capital management.
  • Focus on several areas of technology including an evaluation of risk technology architecture, definition of requirements, system integration, testing and deployment. Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members.
  • Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment. Foster relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels.
  • Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
  • Cultivate and manage business development opportunities. Develop services to meet ongoing client needs.
  • Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge.
