Job Description:

Our client is going through Large Enterprise Data 'transformation' as they move their legacy (TSQL, Kimball Methodology, SSIS, ETL) data warehouse environment to the cloud (Azure). They are looking for a Sr. Data Engineer that is highly experienced in all of the above! You will play a key role in the design and implementation of the organizations next generation data platforms and are expected to collaborate with multiple teams including FP&A, Data Science, Data Management, Software Engineering, Product Development, and business stakeholders.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of data engineering/modeling and solution architecture of complex data platforms
  • Heavy experience with all things Microsoft technology stack
  • Has worked with Data Factory and SSISmigration tools
  • Azure cloud migration experience
  • Azure - SQL, Data Factory/Synapse Pipelines, Python, Azure Data Lake, Storage Accounts, Azure SQL DBs/Managed Instances, Databricks/Spark, Azure Client, DevOps
  • Deep knowledge of leveraging cloud data platforms
  • Expertise in Data Ingestion (Python & Sql) and modeling it out with ETL
  • Experience designing and implementing security and compliance solutions for data governance
  • Hands-on experience with DataOps, ETL tooling, data warehouse design, data architecture, AI/Client
  • Working towards or has obtained Azure Data Engineering certification
Bonus/Soft Skills:
  • Legacy - SQL, SSIS, Multi-dimensional SSAS cubes
  • TSQL, KimballMethodology, SSIS, ETL
  • Experience leading and mentoring other engineers
